Pricing

Published in full, because every comparable vendor quotes on request.

Every plan includes every feature and differs only in its limits. Annual terms are paid in advance and invoiced against a purchase order, with no card required.

BarrierOps plans: who each is for, price per month, price per year, page and document limits per asset, asset limit, client-organisation limit and user limit.

Unlimited users on every plan. Metering is on pages and documents, never people. There is no seat count, no seat price and no seat limit. Invite the whole communications team, the clerk’s office, the IT department and your agency — it does not change the invoice.

Starter and Standard replaced Core and Program on 7 October 2026, with new prices and limits, and Professional is new. Portfolio and Enterprise kept their names.

What each plan includes

Every plan includes every product feature. Portfolio adds the tools an agency needs across its clients, and Enterprise adds contract terms.

What each edition includes: 17 capabilities, and whether Starter, Standard, Professional, Portfolio, Enterprise carry each one.

Add-ons

SSO and SAML — $200–250 per connection per month
One connection per identity provider. Priced separately because our own cost is per connection; bundling it would mean charging every customer for something most do not use.
Additional pages — quoted in blocks of 2,000 pages
The page count comes from the last completed scan.
Additional client organisations on the Portfolio plan — quoted above 25 active clients
Enterprise starts at $18,000 a year. Above 25 active clients, ask us to quote both.

Whether this needs a competitive solicitation

Direct-purchase thresholds by jurisdiction, and where the published annual prices sit against each one.
JurisdictionDirect purchase permitted up toStarter–Portfolio, $2,400–18,000
Texas, municipalities$100,000Under
Texas, school districts$50,000, aggregated over 12 monthsUnder
New York, procurement$20,000Under
New York, public works$35,000Under
Florida, Category I$20,000Under
Florida, Category II$35,000Under
Florida, Category III$65,000Under

These figures were checked on 8 September 2026 and are given so you can start the conversation, not to replace it. Thresholds change, home-rule charters differ from state statute, and your entity’s own purchasing policy may be stricter than the law. Confirm with your purchasing department. This is not legal or procurement advice. If you find one of these figures is out of date, tell us and we will correct it.

Most buyers can purchase this directly. $2,400–18,000 sits under every direct-purchase threshold in the table, which usually means a purchase order rather than a solicitation, and weeks rather than a quarter.

How you buy it

Contract term
12 months, paid in advance
Billing method
Invoice against a purchase order. Card is available but not required.
Payment terms
Net 30 by default. Net 45 and net 60 on request.
Payment methods
ACH or check. Remittance details are printed on every invoice.
Purchase order
Captured at signature and printed on every invoice.
Late payment
An open invoice inside your payment cycle never suspends the service.

The W-9 and the one-page quote template are not published yet. Ask for either with your quote.

What the government itself estimates this costs

DOJ’s own regulatory impact analysis estimates $9,462 for a special district to bring its web content into compliance with Title II. Starter is $2,400 a year, and that figure includes the monitoring that keeps the work from decaying after the first push.

What happens at the page limit

Page limits are checked before scanning, not billed after. If an asset has 11,240 pages on the Standard plan, the scan covers 10,000, chosen by crawl order, and is marked limited in every report derived from it, naming what was skipped and why. The service is never silently truncated and there is never an overage charge on an invoice you did not approve.

What we never charge for

  • User accounts. Every plan has unlimited users.
  • Evidence exports, report generation and chain verification.
  • Barrier reports submitted by members of the public.
  • Support tickets, onboarding calls and account setup.
  • The free 5-page scan, the deadline calculator and the 2028 checklist.

Questions purchasing departments ask

What do you need from us to issue a quote?

Your entity’s legal name, the billing contact, the website address, and a purchase order number if your policy requires one on the quote. We return a one-page quote the same business day.

Can we be invoiced monthly?

No. Invoiced subscriptions run for an annual term, paid in advance. Starter, Standard and Portfolio can also be paid monthly, by card only. Professional and Enterprise are annual only.

What happens at the end of the 12 months?

A reminder is sent 90, 60 and 30 days before the term ends, so it can enter your next budget cycle. Nothing renews without a signature.

Is there a trial?

There is a 14-day trial, and a signed pilot with a start and end date, full features and no payment. Pilots are the usual route for public entities.

On the Portfolio plan, are our clients separate?

Yes. Each client is a real tenant with its own users and its own evidence chain. If the relationship ends, the client keeps everything and the chain stays verifiable.

What happens to our data if we leave?

A full export of the organisation is self-service, as a single archive, with no support ticket. Account deletion is not a written-down process yet; ask for the contract clause and we will send it before you sign.

Do you have SOC 2?

Not yet, and we will not claim it before the report exists. The security page states the current status, names the penetration-test date, and links each subprocessor’s own attestation.
